Last year, I shared with you how to get started using different Data Science tools available to us' regular folk' who may not have access to Enterprise licenses and IT teams. Since changes happen monthly in the AI/ML space, I wanted to review some of those platforms' new tools, capabilities, and accessibility. With a recent announcement from DataRobot, I feel inspired to explore and share my findings.
As an independent or hobbyist data scientist, it is sometimes frustrating to see excellent tools priced out of reach. DataRobot used to be one of those platforms. The user experience and autoML capabilities were best in class, but Enterprise licenses were the only option. That is no longer the case. DataRobot has launched its Cloud AI platform.
With a $500 free trial offer, most DataRobot tools are available to play around with and enjoy.
I will walk you through how to sign up for the trial and run some demos to get an idea of how far that $500 will take you before needing to buy more credits. I will use the provided dataset so you can access the data for yourself.
